4-22-09: A Proud Day for Expert Fence
On April 22, 2009, after 24 years as a legal resident of the U.S., our valued foreman Jose DelCid became a U. S. Citizen. Congratulations, Jose! Rick Poppleton, owner of Expert Fence, welcomes his friend Jose on this great day.
Some of the Expert Fence Crew- 2008
The office personnel did not make themselves available for this photo due to a bad hair day!
Alley
In Memory of "Alley", June 15, 1988 - January 19, 2001, One of our best employees ever! She was part of the customer service department. She could charm a client for the sale and she could protect the premises with her fierce disposition!
Jose's Crew in front of new Arlington womens' shelter
Jose Delcid (on right) has been working for us for over 24 years. He takes great pride in his great work! Next to him is little Luis and Jose's brother, Luis. They both are hard workers.
Edgar's crew
Edgar Lazo (on right) is one of our valued foreman. He is known for getting a very difficult job completed on a very hot or cold day with a smile. Next to him is Luis, who, pound for pound is the strongest person who has ever worked here! Alex, is a sharp, resourceful worker who can repair almost anything!
Edgar & Nail Gun
Our foreman Edgar, looking cool while securing slats with a nail gun. Once the posts are in and the fence is framed with rails, the vertical boards go in quickly and easily.
Edgar & 10" Saw
Part II in the "Edgar with Construction Tools" saga. After the posts are set, they can be cut to the correct size.
Edgar & Jackhammer
Part III in the "Edgar with Construction Tools" saga. It can be a lot of work to get fence posts into concrete...he looks like he's having fun, though!
Framing the Fence
First the posts go in, then the fence is framed with rails. The vertical slats go up last. Here Luis and Miguel are framing the fence.
Difficult Removal
Sometimes, intense clearing must be done around an old fence if the area is overgrown. While Sammy is pulling sections down, Alex is up top getting a good look at how closely this fence abuts the neighbor's chain link fence.
