A wood fence in the DC, Maryland and Virginia climate takes freeze-thaw cycles, humid summers and heavy clay soil. A good finish, renewed on schedule, is what lets it reach its full life.
Expert Fence cleans, stains and seals cedar and pressure-treated fences, new and old, and can keep your fence on a maintenance calendar so you do not have to remember.
Every option is priced on the same written estimate, so you can compare real numbers for your property.

Clear water-repellent sealer that keeps the natural wood look while slowing weathering.
Low-pressure cleaning that removes dirt, mildew and grey weathering without gouging the grain.
The crew that quotes your project is the crew that builds it. Installation is never subcontracted.
We check the wood, the age of the fence and any repairs needed first.
Colour or clear, with samples on your wood where possible.
Low-pressure clean and dry time before any finish goes on.

We note when the next coat is due and can remind you.
We stain and seal wood fences across Northern Virginia, Washington DC and suburban Maryland. Sun-facing runs may need attention sooner than shaded ones, and we plan the cycle around that.
Our yard and fabrication shop are at 6027 Farrington Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22304. If your property is inside the Beltway or within about an hour of it, we serve it. Not sure? Call (703) 751-3008.
Let new cedar or pressure-treated wood weather three to six months first. Fresh lumber carries mill glaze and moisture that will not let a finish penetrate, and sealing too early traps that moisture inside the board.
In this climate, plan on cleaning and re-sealing every two to three years. Sun-facing runs may need it sooner.
Done wrong, yes. We stay under 1,500 PSI, use a wide fan tip and keep the wand moving, so the soft grain is not gouged.
